Ceremony

I wish everyone a happy new year!
Here is my first piece of personal art from this year: a Ghibli-inspired piece with elements of a Balinese ceremonial.
I spent seven years living in Bali and had so many wonderful experiences there. As an artist, whenever I witness Balinese rituals, environments, structures, etc., my own imagination begins to play in my head. Sometimes, especially in Ghibli movies, I see similarities between Bali and Japanese rites. I am incredibly appreciative of the chance to have spent several years there. 🙂
